Won’t employees be too relaxed and therefore unproductive after a massage?

Studies have revealed that workers who received short massages show increased accuracy and speed in working, as well as decreased levels of stress. Studies also show that short massages can help to recharge and rejuvenate.

How easy is it to organise a Corporate Massage session?

Easy, with our new online booking system.

  1. Arrange for an office or private area to be vacant
  2. Send a memo around the office/building with the planned day/time/menu with your own personal link into our web site
  3. Thats it. Our online system will automatically email each individual confirmation of their booking

Can I claim back anything from my health fund?

You cannot claim back Pilates on your Health fund, however Massage is rebateable depending on your fund and level of cover. You will be issued with a receipt, which you may be able to claim with. As a general guide each treatment is rebated between $15 and $30 depending on your fund.

What results should I expect from my massage?

It varies, depending on your problem. If your condition is chronic we may suggest you have 4 or 5 treatments in close succession. This will ensure you get the maximum benefit from the massage. If your condition has not improved within 3 to 4 weeks we may refer you to an Osteopath, Chiropractor, Physiotherapist or Acupuncturist.

Corporate massage is not aimed to treat specific injuries or problems but rather to provide relief from general muscle tension and improve productivity.

What results should I expect from Pilates?

Pilates will give you increase flexibility, better circulation reduced muscle stiffness and improves body alignment. Pilates will greatly improve your core stability which is important if you suffer from lower back pain, it can also help to strengthen upper back muscles which are often weak in people who overuse there neck and shoulder muscles. By strengthening the upper back muscles it allows the neck and shoulder muscles to relax.

Pilates and Massage combined can form a healthy partnership. Pilates can strengthen weak muscles whilst massage releases tension in the areas that are tight.

What level of training have your staff had?

All Handprints Massage employees are fully insured, have a senior first aid certificate and hold qualifications relative to their role. Massage Therapists hold a Diploma in Remedial Massage and are qualified accredited members of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society. We only employ people who are experienced and passionate about taking responsibility for other people’s health.
